Parent Orientation
Parents, mark your calendar for March 9, 2010! We will be hosting a Parent Orientation at VinnyLinks. This orientation will give you an in depth look on how we operate. You will also learn of the expectations we have of your child as well as what you can do as a parent to help your child progress through The First Tee.

Thelma Ewell Promoted to Executive Director
The Tennessee Golf Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Thelma Ewell, to the position of Executive Director, The First Tee of Nashville. For many of our participants and parents, who have had the opportunity to know Thelma, this promotion comes as no surprise. Congratulations to our new Executive Director.

Volunteer of the Month: C.J. Sabia
C.J. was one of our first volunteer tutors. Starting in November 2009, CJ has consistenly worked with one of our participants in Pre-Algebra. Through his dedication, CJ has helped this participant raise his grade from an F to a B. Kudos to our participant for "asking for help" and to CJ for his generous efforts.

Volunteers Needed for the Spring!
We are looking for Volunteers this Spring to assist with instruction and Life Skills Training. We are also looking for ladies to assist us with our LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Program.

Tutoring Update: "Progress Reports"
November 19 was the launch of our tutoring program. To date, several kids have "asked for help" and have seen significant improvement in their grades. Kudos to them for using this Life Skill, which they learned in the PAR Level. Click the link below to see how these participants are excelling off the golf course.
