  Programs & Instructions
There is a small $40 program fee, per child, to participate in Nashville's The First Tee program. Participants must be 8-17 years old to sign up. Participants who want to take the 9 week PLAYer, Par, Birdie, or Eagle Life Skills Experience, need to make a commitment to not miss a week, either with perfect attendance or make up sessions.
  Certification Requirements
To advance from level to level (PLAYer to PAR to BIRDIE to EAGLE) a participant must become certified. What does it take to get certified?
  Adult Lessons Available
Private Lessons are available for children and adults. Gift certificates are available.
  Spreading The Word To Nashville Schools
The First Tee of Nashville has been going into Nashville Schools and delivering Life and Golf Skills to students. Click below to read how the great game of golf is getting spread to these young people.
  LPGA/USGA Girls Golf

  The First Tee Safety Policy
Children are informed of safety regulations before each class. Violation of safety procedure will be dealt with in the following manner
  The 2009 Ace & Eagle Academy
The Ace & Eagle Academy began on July 29 at Golf House of Tennessee in Franklin. The academy was free to 42 deserving First Tee participants. 7 of these participants came from The First Tee of Nashville.
  ACE LEVEL
To enter the ACE level, participants must be 13-17 years old, Eagle Certified and enrolled in high school. Participants must also APPLY to enter this program.
  Fall 2009 Blind Golf Clinic
TFT Nashville hosted a clinic for blind golfers from The Tennessee School for the Blind and Metro Nashville Public Schools. 22 kids had the opportunity to learn golf skills with the more advanced players on the golf course.
  First Tee Parent Classes
FALL DATES POSTED! Parent PAR & BIRDIE Classes are offered throughout the year. It is a a 4 week Program that teaches Life and Golf Skills to parents or guardians of The First Tee participants. Click below for more information.
  PE Teachers Training
The First Tee of Nashville hosted an in-service training for 42 Physical Education teachers from Metro Nashville Public Schools. The teachers were primarily from middle schools and high schools.
  The First Tee Military Affiliate Program

  The Dennis Walters Golf Show
The Dennis Walters Golf Show is an hour of great golf, great fun, and an inspiring message based on Dennis's own personal example. Learn how he has turned tragedy into a 30 year career of inspiring others to reach for their dreams. His trick shots will amaze you and you'll love Bucky the canine Super Star!
  Adaptive Golf Update
Our latest effort on using golf as therapy, brought patients from Tennessee Rehab Center to VinnyLinks Golf Course for instruction and the beginning of on course play.
  Adaptive Golf Clinic
On Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 we hosted an Adaptive Golf Clinic from 9:00am to 11:00am. Click for photos and info.
  Blind Clinic
On Wednesday November 29, 2008 The First Tee of Nashville hosted a clinic for blind children from Tennessee School for the Blind and Metro Nashville Public Schools. The clinic was coordinated by Jim Baker, former US National Champion, for the US Blind Golfers Association.
The First Tee Life Skills Experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is one of the unique features that differentiates The First Tee from many other successful junior golf programs.  Through the Life Skills Experience, participants learn valuable lessons about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences and how to define and set goals from the golf course to everyday life.
The First Tee Certification Process

The First Tee wants everyone who completes The First Tee Experience to have acquired basic golf skills and to be able to demonstrate certain fundamental life skill concepts – such as interpersonal communication and the importance of rules and etiquette.
The First Tee Coach

The First Tee Coach Program is an educational training program that prepares staff and volunteers at Chapters of The First Tee to deliver The First Tee Life Skills Experience, which includes the TARGET program, as well as the Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace levels of certification.
Assistant Coach Training
The First Tee Assistant Coach Training for individuals who want to be more involved with the ongoing coaching and mentoring of The First Tee participants at the Chapter level but may not be able to spend the time required to become recognized as a The First Tee Coach.
